Yes it auto syncs every time it’s plugged in. There might be an option to disable it. Never checked. Regarding how long it takes, it obviously depends on how many new tracks you are downloading (if any), the sync/check if there’s new tracks maybe takes a couple of minutes but downloading new tracks doesn’t seem ‘quick’.

I use spotify and there is an option on the watch in the music player to browse podcasts that were added to my account. I had to follow the podcast for it to show. Phone > follow podcast then go to the watch music player > library > update podcasts > browse list and click download for the one i wanted
