I took this photo with a Fujinon XF 18-55mm f/2.8-4 R LM OIS zoom lens zoomed to 26.5mm at ƒ/3.2 on a Fujifilm X-T3. Like all the shots on this page, this was taken hand-held. The wide aperture and optical image stabilization—along with very good high ISO performance of the X-T3 —help keep things sharp and colorful.
Below I have gathered some images with all kinds of different settings to show of the versatile nature of this lens. I really do think that this lens produces GREAT images in all sorts of environments. ISO 6400 – 55mm – f/4.0 – 1/125 sec. ISO 1250 – 18mm – f/2.8 – 1/125 sec. ISO 400 – 55mm – f/4.0 – 1/2000 sec.

Following on a previous thread of mine[1], where I was comparing simulated field of view of Fuji`s two "kit" zooms - namely XF 18-55mm and XF 16-80mm, contemplating whether I should get the latter as I already had the former - here`s a real, shootout comparison between the two this time (you guessed, I did get XF 16-80mm in the meantime).

While this fast all-metal lens isn't quite as optically spectacular as the extraordinary Fuji 35mm f/1.4, it's very sharp, has far less distortion than SLR lenses, focuses super-close, and has no visible light falloff. This Fuji lens is an attempt to copy the LEICA SUMMICRON-M 28mm f/2 for the Fuji X-Pro1 system.
