Reccomended Oil change intervals for a 2014 Honda CR V I stopped at the shop that does the maintenance on my last two Honda's. We just purchased a 2014 CR V and I too wanted to know the intervals on changing the motor oil. The owner of the shop is a past shop foreman for the local Honda dealer.

I just got my 22 Civic today and I see that it has a maintenance reminder function on the dash, which purports to advise when to get an oil change. Engine Coolant. Check levens bi-monthly. However, there is no explanation of how often the regular interval should be. The closest equivalent I can find is for the 2016+ Pilot with 9-speed ZF transmission, which several Honda dealers and piloteers.org recommend first change at 60,000 and then every 30,000 thereafter. 1. From the user manual, these are the recommended service intervals -. engine oil = every 6,000 km / 3,728 miles. spark plug = every 12,000 km / 7,456 miles. air filter = every 18,000 km / 11,184 miles. driving belt = 24,000 km / 14,912 miles. final gear oil & brake oil = every 2 years. coolant = every 3 years.
Oil level checked and full at every fuel fill up!!! 4-5 day oil change interval vs 8-10 day interval during emergency usage is something you should consider. Honda makes excellent synthetic small engine oils. I would definitely stick with higher z/p oils, or HTHS, or both! The aftermarket make some screw on funnels and magnetic dipsticks.
